Our Goal

Our goal is to build a running facility. A place for everyone — from our professional runner friends in Flagstaff, to our Camp Verde middle and high schoolers, to Arizona Special Olympic athletes, to the members of the Yavapai-Apache Nation whose ancestors who have been running on this land for centuries — to train safely on an all-weather track.

 

This new facility will be open to the public: A place where Olympians can train alongside runners and walkers of all ages and abilities. It will also serve as the Camp Verde High School track, allowing the school to finally host fully-sanctioned track meets. These meets will be a source of pride for the student-athletes and bring much-needed funds to the program.

The building site has been secured right across the street from Camp Verde High School. The rendering has been designed. The plans have been drawn. And the paperwork is ready.
